A lot of people are saved. Yet they wonder ... Was I really saved? Maybe I should be saved again. Maybe I only thought I was ...

If this is you and you are not sure, here is a way to find out. The following is a list of things that should be happing in your life if you are saved ...

  1. See a change, inside and out. You should feel a change inside. 2 Cor. 5:17 Therefor if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come. Not all at once, as bad habits will take a little time to get rid of. But you will see that sinful things are not as much fun as they use to be. Soon you will not want to do them at all. This will also be apparent from looking at you. People will start seeing a new you. You will dress properly, speak properly and be kinder to everyone. You will be a changed person.

  2. If you put your finger in a light socket, you would feel it. Also everyone around you would notice that something is happening to you. The same is true with Salvation.

  3. You will desire to know about Jesus and follow in His ways. You will have this desire in your heart. You will want to find out all you can about Him. Your mind will be thirsty and only Jesus can quench the thirst. John 4:14 Jesus said, "Whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life."

  4. You will start doing the same work Jesus did. Telling people about the Father so they might be saved. Praying for people so they might be healed. John 14:12 Jesus said, "I tell youth truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing."

  5. You will be filled with the love of Christ. John 13:34 Jesus said, "Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another." You should start feeling this love for other people.

  6. You should forgive people and be filled with His mercy. Col. 3:13 Forgive whatever grievances you have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. You should not be holding grudges. Forgive and forget. As God said, Hebrews 8:12, "I will forgive their sins and think of them no more."

  7. You should want to be faithful to God and for God. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes on Him shall not parish but have eternal life ... If God loved us so much. Should not we give Him all of our faith and love? Should we not defend His name and the name of His Son? Could we do less?

All of these things may not come right from the start but they all will start coming out in your life. If they do not ... Check yourself ... You probably are not saved. You might want to get on your knees and recommit yourself to Jesus. Forever is a long time to stay in the wrong place. Do Not Doubt Your Salvation. Know You Are Saved!
