From: Ferd Sebastian

You say that you do not hear from God. God does not care about you ... Why has He deserted you? Why does He not heal you? Why does He not supply all of your needs? Why ... Why ... Why. Possibly because you have not read the book. And the part that you read you did not believe. Nothing in the word of God works ... UNLESS ... You must believe that God is and try to reach Him in faith.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must (necessarily) believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him

A rewarder of them who diligently seek Him ... Let us be honest, how many of us diligently seek Him. Or do we just desire the gifts that He has promised.

Psalm 37:4-5 Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart.
5 Commit your way to the Lord (deposit and lay down each care of your load on Him); trust (lean on, rely on, and be confident) also in Him and He will bring it to pass.

Commit your way to the Lord. God has a way of doing business. A set of ground rules. He wants you to do it His way.

Delight yourself in the Lord ... That is the answer! God is not a connivance store where we drop in and get what we want ... God wants to fellowship with us.

1 Cor. 1:9 God is faithful (reliable, trustworthy, and therefore ever true to His promise, and He can be depended on); by Him you were called into companionship and participation with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Definition of Companionship: Association with, the act of keeping company with someone, the state of being with someone; like "he missed their company"; "he enjoyed the society of his friends"

That means so much to God that look what He says in His Word. This is how badly that He wants to be your friend, your companion, your champion, your Savior and your love.

Hebrews 13:5 Let your character or moral disposition be free from love of money (including greed, covetousness, lust, and craving for earthly possessions) and be satisfied with your present (circumstances and with what you have); for He (God) (Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. (I will not,) (I will) not, (I will) not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let (you) down (relax My hold on you)! (Assuredly not!)

That sounds like a friend ... A real friend. But a jealous friend. Someone who wants your love with all of your heart and wants you to put nothing before Him.

Joshua 1:5 No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will not fail you or forsake you.

Matthew 28:19-20 Go then and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20 Teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you, and behold, I am with you all the days (perpetually, uniformly, and on every occasion), to the (very) close and consummation of the age. Amen (so let it be).

1 John 4:4 Little children, you are of God (you belong to Him) and have (already) defeated and overcome them (the agents of the antichrist), because He Who lives in you is greater (mightier) than he who is in the world.

Psalm 23:4 Yes, though I walk through the (deep, sunless) valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me; Your rod (to protect) and Your staff (to guide), they comfort me.

John 3:16 For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He (even) gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.

1 Cor 6:17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

Romans 8:16-17 The Spirit Himself (thus) testifies together with our own spirit, (assuring us) that we are children of God.
17 And if we are (His) children, then we are (His) heirs also: heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ (sharing His inheritance with Him); only we must share His suffering if we are to share His glory.

Is this too high of price for us to pay to be God's friends and children? My personal opinion is that until we are true friends of God and His Son, Jesus Christ and love them more than any thing or anyone we will have a hard time getting anything from Him.

A Friend is a Terrible thing to Loose ... 2jesus
