WHERE ARE WE GOING?
From: Chris Klitzing

My granddaughter was with me today. I'd mentioned going take a movie back and renting another one. I asked if, she wanted to go along with grand pa. Naturally as any small child would say, yes she wanted to go. I asked her where she wanted to go. She said, I want to go bye bye.

I had to stop and think for a minute. She places all her trust in me. Didn't matter where we were going as long as we were going together. We have to place this much trust in God each day as well. None of us truly know where we're going each day. We usually know, Monday we're going to get up and go to work. But, we just never know if, there will be anything unexpected happen to us on any given day.

That's why, it's so important to start each day out in prayer. What a better way to start out each day then in prayer. Looking back, there were so many times, I was neglectful, forgetful or just not being grateful starting off my day. No matter what, I pray to begin each day. Our prayer's to God don't have to be long winded. A simple thank you God and let me be of service to all I can today is enough.

For a long time, I thought, God was distant. It finally came to me one day if; God seems distant, who moved? This holds true with family and friends as well. Any relationship, has to be nurtured along to grow. For many years, I was distant from my mother. As I've gotten older, I know, she's not going to be around for ever. I have to have to be a good and loving son with her now. Much can be said of our relationship with God. We have to keep in contact with him now.

With the added prayers, comes peace of mind and understanding. I'm not alone, as it says in the 23rd Psalm thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me. I have no fear today, I know that, God is present in all I do. What a comforting thought, this is today. As it says in the Bible, Romans 8:31 If God is for us, who can be against us? How powerful that, thought is to know!

Where would we be without God? Psalms 14:1 The fool says in his heart, there is no God. They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds, there is none who does good. Psalms also goes onto say, 14:2 The Lord looks down from heaven on the children of man, to see if there are any who understand, [1] who seek after God.

How can we seek comfort and protection without seeking it from God? John 14:18 says I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

How my troubled mind has been eased in this wonderful spiritual journey each day! Today as it says in Psalms 118:24 This is the day which the LORD has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it. I believe in my heart and soul today as it says in Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

With this in mind, I can now be trusting in the Lord the same way my grand daughter is when, we go bye bye. It doesn't matter where I go today as long as the Lord is with me.
