Many people have asked me why did Jesus killed a tree. Well to give you, a very important lesson. One that if you learn it will change your whole life here on earth. After all, it was His tree. He made it. John 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. I also have another picture that Jesus has put on my heart. I see Jesus after this lesson was over saying to the tree, "Thank you, come to life." and of course it did. Jesus raised Lazarus, to give life to a tree would not be a very big deal. Here is what John said about Jesus. John 21:25 And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.

Let us look at Mark. This is a very important lesson.

Mark 11:12-14
12   The next day as they were leaving Bethany, Jesus was hungry.
13   Seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to find out if it had any fruit. When he reached it, he found nothing but leaves, because it was not the season for figs.
14   Then he said to the tree, "May no one ever eat fruit from you again." And his disciples heard him say it.

What is Jesus doing here? He is giving a lesson to His disciples and also to you as it was recorded for you. They were with Him and they saw this. He spoke to a tree. And it says that they heard Him. They must have thought that Jesus was crazy.

But Jesus was not crazy, He knew when the season for fruit was. He had lived in this area for 30 years. No this was just a lesson on how important what we say can be. The important thing here is that He said it ... He spoke the words ... And the people heard it. He was walking in faith as He was not afraid for others to hear what He said. But nothing happened ... But yes it did, just not at the time He said it ...

Then Jesus went into the city and when they came back along the same road He continued the lesson in, Mark 11:20

Mark 11:20-24
20   In the morning, as they went along, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots.
21   Peter remembered and said to Jesus, "Rabbi, look! The fig tree you cursed has withered!"
22   "Have faith in God," Jesus answered.

So it did die ... It was the next morning when they returned. Important lesson. When you speak the action does not always come at that moment. It can, but is usually delayed. But it will happen if you have faith. As Jesus said, "Have faith in God." So when you are praying for healing or whatever. Remember it might be later when it arrives. So do not loose your faith in God.

You might say yes, the fig tree died, but that was Jesus doing the talking ... The lesson was not for Jesus. He knew what He could do. The lesson was for you. Look at the next verses.

23   "I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him.
24   Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it and it will be yours.

So here Jesus makes it plain ... If anyone says, that is you ... If you believe it. It will be done. There are some conditions here. You must be a believer in Christ and you must have faith.

Oh, Thank You Jesus. What a wonderful message.

What are you waiting for? Go out and speak the word and be all that God meant for you to be!

If we could only just believe ... Ferd@2jesus
