GIVING THE DEVIL HIS DUE
From: Chris Klitzing

As I sit here and write this, I have to give the Devil his due. You look around and see all the split homes due to divorce. Wars and rumors of wars, natural disasters and disease all around the world. You ask yourself, where is God? If God is really here, Why's he let this happen?

It's always amazed me, the high % of people that believe in God. You ask the people about the Devil, they don't even think he exists. Now, this makes me wonder, with the killing and all the hateful things done on Earth who do you give the credit to? The Devil the great deceiver lets you justify all your actions today. Cheat on your taxes, everyone does it. Drive on by when, you see someone broke down on the highway. Park in that handicap spot, you're just going in for a few items. We can be tricked into thinking it's ok.

What does the bible say? Jesus says do unto others. Forgive your brother as I have forgiven you. Families are split apart today, mothers and fathers going their own way. Brothers and sisters not speaking to each other because of past hurts and resentments. Coworkers fighting amongst themselves at work over petty things. Countries fighting over boundaries and religion through out the world.

Mark 13:4 Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled?

Mark 13:5 And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you:

Mark 13:6 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

Mark 13:7 And when ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet.

Mark 13:8 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.

These are frightening times, the devil wants us to be weak and to be in fear. Jesus says, heaven and Earth shall pass away but, my words will never pass away.

So I say to you my brothers and sisters in Christ, be strong. Turn away from your sins. Pray to God and continue to ask forgiveness for you sins. God so loved the world that, He sent his only beloved son to die for us. Unconditional love. Be as children unto God. For God is love, he has prepared as place for you in his kingdom. Whom shall we fear? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Yours in Christ Amen
